The GVS, care passionately about the people in our community. They believe that no one should ever feel isolated or lonely. Through the delivery of their services at the two Social Clubs, GVS work hard to bring people together and build social connection, late into life.
Through Meals on Wheels, GVS bring hot meals to those individuals who can’t make it into either of their Social Clubs. Through their large and amazing volunteer force, GVS deliver over 25,000 meals to people in their homes.
GVS must raise approximately £200,000 per annum to offer our their current services including Meals on Wheels, The Jubilee and Russels Social Clubs, and Blood Donor calling at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
The Captain hopes that with the support of members through 2026, a healthy donation to this worthy charity will be made come the end of the year.
