It seems to have been a long time coming but the season is on its way. Last Saturday we had the Pro Shop Challenge with good weather and an impressive field of 152 members.
Congratulations to Mark Bourgaize for winning the trophy with an impressive 42 points. I must say a really big thanks to Chris Douglas for his sponsorship and for putting up £600 worth of clubs which were won by Dave Collenette. Not only did Chris do all that but he also paid into my charity box.
My monthly draw took place on 24th March. 1st prize went to Robin Barnes who donated his prize to my Captains charity box. 2nd prize was won by Geoff Ballay and 3rd prize Paul Allaway.
I would also like to thank Bill Le Huray for looking after our juniors and also for holding two social functions in our club house which were both a great success. Funds raised will go towards funding The Island Games.
I have had a good response to the snooker competition with 32 players taking part the line up is in the snooker room many thanks to Paul Tostevin for setting up the whole competition. Good luck to you all.
The sheet for Walton Heath competition has gone up on the board so please get your name up as soon as you can.
The sheet is also up for our next competition the Heritage Cup on the 20th May. There is always plenty going on at our club now with the lighter nights so come down to support your club and enjoy your golf.
