Message from our New Captain

Pete Le SauvageFirstly, I would like to start my year with a big warm thank you to Tony Crawley (our past president) for keeping our club on the straight and narrow for the past three years. I hope with his continued support it will stay that way. I aim to do as good a job as Brian Le Tissier has done this year but hopefully with a few more trophies in our cabinet.

I would like to give a big thank you to Tony Brassell, Tony Blondel, and Geoff Meager for nominating me to be in this position. I would also like to welcome Keith Dye as my Vice Captain. Having worked alongside Keith I know that we will work well together. I am also pleased that an agreement was reached with Commons Council which allows us to carry on playing golf at L’Ancresse. I am very much looking forward to this year and I will enjoy meeting more of our members during the next twelve months. I am confident that with all the members support, I will do the best job I can as Captain.

We have a very good committee which is run very efficiently by our new President, Tony Blondel. Tony is very supportive of our club and together we make a good team.  I don’t foresee any changes in the way in which our  club is run this year.

I would also like to invite you all to the Captains Drive In on Sunday 8th January at 12.30 pm. I have three great charities which I have carefully chosen with you the members in mind. I hope to carry on our Monthly Captains charity draw but we do need more members to take part to make it even more successful. I have decided to auction off my parking space. I would welcome any of you to come to along and make a bid.

Finally, I wish you all the best for the coming year I’m hoping 2017 will be very successful for all members of the L’Ancresse Golf Club,
